Microporous nylon membranes (MMK) are white porous films produced according to own proprietary technology on the basis of polyamide by wet spinning method with a wide range of pore sizes from 0,1 to 3 microns.
Due to the high porosity and controlled pore size MMK membranes possess high retention effectiveness at high filtration rate.
MMK membranes meet requirements to the medical products and materials continuously contacting with blood and lymph.
Main applications
- Fine and sterilizing filtration of water solutions and blood preparations.
- Bioburden reduction filtration and sterilizing filtration of parenterals and pharmaceutical liquids.
- Pre-filtration and sterilizing filtration of aggressive media (diluted acids, alkalis, solutions, photoresists).
- Microbiological analysis.
Features and advantages
- Natural hydrophilicity (immediately get wet by water).
- High filtration rate.
- Wide range of pore sizes.
- Extremely low amount of extractable substances (~3 mcg/sm2).
- Withstand more than 10 cycles of steam sterilization in autoclave at t = 121°C without any changes of mechanical, structural and filtration properties as well as gamma-radiation.
Material
MMK membrane is a hydrophilic polyamide (Nylon-6) membrane. MMK membrane has coarse sieve structure with fine microporous walls which results in continuous membrane structure and provides strength and flexibility both in dry and wet state.
Diameter
Diameter of standard discs: 13, 25, 35, 47, 50, 90, 142, 170 and 293 mm.
On the customer’s request, flat filters can have any diameter not exceeding 293 mm.
