The EPV.SC filter elements are produced on the basis of the pleated filter material made of microfine glass, cellulose and polypropylene fibers.

Efficient filtration is achieved by means of high adsorption of fiberglass and cellulose and diversity of chemical nature of microfibers in combination with mechanical retention.

Advantages

Glass, cellulose and polypropylene microfibers based pleated filter

  • High filtration efficiency (> 99%).
  • Increased contamination capability and lifetime provide long-term operation without regenerations.
  • Excellent hydrophilicity of fibers ensures filtration under minimal differential pressure (even by gravity flow).
  • Designed for highly efficient clarifying filtration and protection of membrane filters.

High strength, the stable matrix of the filter element

  • Filter material structure precludes possibility of “dusting” and medium migration.
  • Withstand multiple wash outs and sterilizations.
  • Reliable filtration under heavy duty operational conditions.

Main applications

  • in medicine and biopharmaceuticals to reduce bacterial load before membrane cartridges, for fine clarifying filtration of pharmaceutical liquids with a high content of suspended particles, for filtration of high-viscosity liquids, syrups, galenic preparations;
  • in the food industry for preliminary and final filtration of wines, for clarification of colored liquor products, finishing stages of beer filtration and beer-soft drinks with the purpose of increasing the shelf life, for fine cleaning of technological, drinking, mineral and bottled water, etc;
  • in other industries for the retention of suspensions, microparticles and colloids with a size of 0.5-3.0 microns or more.

Safety

EPV.SC filter elements are produced in accordance with the regulatory technical documents on product quality and are certified for use in the filtration processes of biopharmaceutical solutions. All EPV.SC filter elements are subjected to wash out from organic and mechanical impurities with high-purity water.
